Kevin Fallis

     

Kevin Fallis is a native of Toronto, Ontario. He began playing bass at the age of 15. In high school he developed a love of jazz and began attending the Humber College Community Music Program  on weekends. There, he able to study with Toronto greats Alex Dean, Kirk McDonald, and Neil Swainson.  In his final year of high school, Kevin also studied with Peter Madgett, a bassist in the Toronto Symphony. Later in the year, a Humber College ensemble that Kevin was involved in was fortunate enough to be selected by the IAJE to travel to the Netherlands and perform at the North Sea Jazz Festival. Kevin attended McGill University and has since had the opportunity to perform with many talented musicians. Some notables include George Garzone, Ralph Bowen and recently with the great Slide Hampton. He also had the opportunity to play in the McGill Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Gordon Foote. Kevin continues to play bass and also write music for film and TV.
